⛄️Campaign Update⛄️
🚨Huddle registration, labor endorsements, MORE! 🚨
Hey everyone, Maggie here with Team Acton. As promised…it’s time for a campaign update!! We have a lot to share.
But before you go any further…register for our DECEMBER CAMPAIGN HUDDLE!
On these monthly huddles, you’ll hear from Team Acton and Amy herself, get answers to FAQs, be able to speak to the team directly, get behind-the-scenes information, and more. It’s truly one of the best ways to be involved with the campaign right now. We’ll see you December 15th at 7pm EST!
Now for some fun: each huddle, we play a song for the intro and outro. Previous songs have included “Touch of Grey” by the Grateful Dead and “Unwritten” by Natasha Bedingfield. Help us vote on this month’s song!
Endorsements
We have MAJOR endorsement news to share! In the last few weeks, Amy has been endorsed by Mayors Justin Bibb (Cleveland) Aftab Pureval (Cincinnati) Andrew Ginther (Columbus) and Wade Kapszukiewicz (Toledo).
She was also endorsed by former governor Ted Strickland!
But along with elected officials from across Ohio, labor unions are also lining up to endorse Amy.
Amy was endorsed by the Industrial Division of the Communications Workers of America (IUE-CWA) and the The Communications Workers of America District 4 last month, and just this week, was endorsed by the United Auto Workers (UAW) as well as by FOUR of Ohio’s largest public service unions: AFSCME Council 8, OCSEA, OAPSE, and AFSCME Retirees Chapter 1184.
Amy previously walked the picket line with UAW Local 647 in Cincinnati when they were striking over the summer, and 647 President Brian Strunk sent us these words about Amy following UAW’s endorsement:
“Sometimes what matters most isn’t the big speeches or the promises — it’s simply who shows up when people are struggling. When members of UAW Local 647 were out on the strike line fighting for a fair contract and a future for our families, Amy Acton showed up. She didn’t come to be seen or to score political points. She came because people were hurting and she cared enough to stand with them in their fight. She listened to our stories, she fed us, and she offered comfort at a time when our members needed to know they weren’t standing alone. That choice says a lot about who she is. She could have spent her Labor Day anywhere else — but she spent it supporting working families and our negotiations. The Bible reminds us that, ‘Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant.’(Matthew 20:26). On that day, Amy served. And that’s the kind of leadership that leaves a mark — leadership that comes from the heart and stands with the American worker and organized labor. Compassion, empathy, and a caring heart are hard to hide — and I hope Ohio has the opportunity to see what we saw that day.”
Hopefully everyone got to spend plenty of time with their loved ones during the Thanksgiving holiday, but just in case you’re like me and spend a little too much time on your phone…maybe you caught wind of the stir on X between Amy and Vivek Ramaswamy.
To summarize…
Vivek Ramaswamy posted a video of some of his policies, including mentioning that he wants to implement school year-round and make the school day go until 4pm instead of 3pm so that “you don’t have to pay for childcare.”
He then deleted and re-posted the video with that clip edited out, and Amy tweeted the deleted clip with a very simple caption: “@VivekGRamaswamy’s plan for year-round school.”
Next thing you know, Amy was being mass-accused by folks on the right & supporters of Ramaswamy’s of posting an “AI deep fake” of Vivek…even though the video was 100% real. His campaign even said so it to the press.
Amy’s tweet was then flagged as “hateful conduct” on X — the second time she has now been censored on Elon Musk’s platform for simply mentioning Vivek Ramaswamy.
Check out some of Amy’s thoughts below, and more, importantly, HER plan to address the rising costs of childcare that doesn’t include keeping kids in school 1 hour later each day as a solution.
As a small reminder, we have MERCH! And it would make a great gift this holiday season! Of course, all of our merch is union-printed in the USA and is a direct donation to our grassroots campaign.
Take a look at our shop! And click on the “Goods” section to find things like yard signs, coffee mugs, stickers, and more.

Good job, Team Amy on capitalizing on Vivek’s political slip up.
